I met Tom years ago when we were just friends. A little over 3 years ago, during NBA playoffs Tom asked me on a date. It did not take long for me to fall in love with him. Tom was the perfect depiction of the man I knew I deserved and wanted to Marry. My father helped me realize that growing up. Actually Tom reminds me a lot of my father. They are both hard workers, handy, enjoy being outdoors and VERY stubborn. How I was raised by my father as I was growing up helped shaped my views of men in general and what you expect from them. For this very reason, I fell in love with Tom instantly. We have the same views, beliefs and faith. It took our first time going to church together for me to realize how much I loved him. Tom has seen me through my good, bad and ugly moments and never fails to love me. He is my better half and the person I cannot wait to spend the rest of my life with.

Katie and I met through a mutual friend quite a few years before we started dating. She was going to nursing school and I had just started detailing cars. It was almost four years later that I decided to reconnect with her and ask her out on a date. I'm so glad I did because there is no telling where I would be in life if I hadn't. She makes me a better person in every way possible and although we've been together for over three years, it doesn't seem like that long ago that we went on our first date. I guess time really does fly when you're having fun.
